The Cochrane Cougars is a recreation hockey league under Hockey Alberta which ensures families have access to affordable, fun, and safe opportunities to participate in youth hockey with a low to moderate time commitment. We play games indoors, sometimes outdoors and play against teams to the north of Cochrane...as far north as Rocky Mountain House and as close as Cremona. Sometimes we play to the south on outdoor ice as well but we try to stay indoors as much as possible.
Age groups follow Hockey Alberta Rec Hockey breakdowns:
U - 8
U - 11
U - 14
U - 18
Division age groups are based on birth as of December 31.
Example - If your child is 10 years old by December 31 you would be in the U - 11 division.
